Use letters to mark regions. Enter one row per line, such as AABBB. Exactly one connected region per letter, with as many regions as rows. You can also paste an SB1 puzzle code.
How to play Star Battle
Put the required number of stars in every row, every column, and every coloured region. All three rules must be satisfied at the same time.
- No two stars can touch — not horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, even across region boundaries.
- For a one-star puzzle, each row, column, and region gets exactly one star. For two-star puzzles, each gets exactly two.
- Tap a square to cycle through blank → ★ star → × empty → blank. Or use the marking tools to place several of the same symbol.
- The numbers beside and below the board show how many stars you have placed in each row and column. Green means the required count is reached.
- Marking every empty square is optional. You win by placing the stars correctly.
Every built-in random puzzle has one verified solution. You can share a puzzle link or print a blank grid for geocaching and classroom activities.
