Rubik’s Cube Solver (2×2)
Select the four colours on each face of your pocket cube, check the state, and follow the solution one quarter-turn at a time.
1. Enter your cube's colours
Choose a paint colour, then tap the stickers to match your real cube. A 2×2 has no fixed centre squares. Select a face to edit it; all six faces appear in the net preview.
Face orientation
Each colour must appear exactly four times. Keep the cube orientation consistent while entering each face.
Full cube layout
This unfolded view lets you check all 24 stickers. Tap a sticker in the net to paint it.
2. Check & solve
When all the stickers are entered, select Check cube. If valid, the solver will search for a solution from that exact arrangement.
Optional: paste a sticker string
Advanced users can enter a 24-letter facelet string in U R F D L B order.
3. Follow the solution
A turn-by-turn solution will appear here after solving.
Keep the cube in the same orientation throughout the solution. Drag the picture to look around it.
The highlighted layer is the one you'll turn next.
Watch the animated turn before doing it yourself, then tap Next. The animation returns to its starting position after a preview. The cube's front always means green, even if you rotate this view.
U = Up, D = Down, F = Front, B = Back, R = Right, L = Left. A prime (') is counter-clockwise. Double turns are shown as two separate 90° moves. Directions are as viewed looking directly at the face being turned.
How to enter the cube correctly
- A 2×2 has no centre stickers. Pick an orientation for your cube and keep it consistent while you enter all six faces.
- Copy each face in its orientation shown on the net. Don't rotate a face by itself while entering its colours.
- The colour checker identifies incorrect counts, impossible corner colours and twisted corners.
- After solving, use the 3D animated cube to see how to hold it and preview each turn. Next and Previous also update the unfolded cube net.
