Tap a clue square and type its Down and Across sums directly into its corners, or use the editor. White squares need both an across and a down clue.
Generate a random puzzle, or choose Edit grid to build your own.
How to use the Kakuro solver
- Generate a random puzzle in your preferred size, or create a grid of your own dimensions. In Edit grid mode, paint white squares, clue squares, and black blocks. Large grids automatically shrink to fit your screen.
- Tap either triangle of a clue square to enter its number directly, or use the Selected square editor: the upper-right number adds the white squares downward, and the lower-left number adds those across to the right.
- Play / enter digits allows numbers 1–9 in white squares. Press Check entries to test your work, Get hint for a logical hint, or Solve puzzle for a complete answer.
Rules: Each across and down run must total its given sum, and a digit cannot repeat in the same run. Standard Kakuro runs contain 2–9 white squares.
If a board has multiple valid answers, Solve can show one, but the page will not claim that the puzzle is unique. Use the share button to send a puzzle you've entered to someone else.
