How to use this tool
- Upload a puzzle image or choose the sample test pattern.
- Increase contrast or adjust black/white points to reveal faint markings.
- Try individual red, green, blue, or alpha views to isolate hidden data.
- Use thresholding, inversion, grayscale, and bit-plane mode to inspect concealed pixel patterns.
- Download the adjusted result once the hidden clue is visible.
1) Choose a background
Images are resized for puzzle creation (up to 1500px / 1.8 million pixels), for fast browser processing. Download PNG to preserve the hidden ink.
2) Hide your clue
The background becomes grayscale; faint red ink can be revealed with the R−G filter.
Preview refreshes while you type or adjust settings. Use Test in Analyze to open the result with the matching reveal filter.
Tips for cache owners
Channel-ink methods use a grayscale background to ensure colour differences can be isolated. Faint contrast preserves the background colour but is harder to extract from detailed photos. Always export PNG: JPG compression, screenshots and social platforms may damage the hidden pixels.
These visual effects are not encryption. Give solvers an optional hint such as “compare red and green”.
