A–I use the first grid, J–R use the same grid shapes with dots, S–V use four X sectors, and W–Z use the same X sectors with dots. Some puzzle setters reverse the order or use variant orientations.
Geocaching tip: Look for corners, box-shaped strokes and a pattern of dotted/undotted symbols; geocaching puzzles sometimes use a different Pigpen variant.
