Intersection of Circles
Find where two distance circles around known GPS coordinates cross. See both possible positions, check an optional third distance clue, and export the results as geocaching coordinates or GPX waypoints.

Diagram distances use a local tangent-plane view for nearby circles. Coordinates are calculated using spherical geometry.
Map tiles require an internet connection.
How circle intersections work
Each location and radius defines every point at that distance from the centre. Two circles may have two intersections, touch at one tangent point, or have no intersection. Equal circles sharing a centre overlap everywhere and do not define a unique final point.
Supports decimal degrees, geocaching degrees and decimal minutes (N 44° 17.000), and degrees/minutes/seconds. Distances are great-circle distances on a spherical Earth (mean radius 6,371,008.8 m); real GPS measurement, terrain and Earth's ellipsoid may produce small differences. This is different from drawing compass-bearing rays.
